Job Description

Get hands-on this vintage. Join one of Coonawarra’s largest wineries, working with everything from small-batch premium wines to large-scale production. 

We’re seeking motivated, reliable casual cellar hands for the 2027 vintage. Experienced applicants and newcomers welcome – training provided.

Duties involve

• Grape receival, crushing and pressing
• Fermentation monitoring and pump-overs
• Wine transfers, additions, filtration and barrel work
• Tank cleaning and general cellar duties

Vintage typically runs February to May, with a possible January start and possible longer-term employment. You will need flexibility for overtime, weekend work and possible shift work.

Job Requirements

• A strong work ethic and positive attitude
• A focus on safety and attention to detail
• Willingness to tackle physical work and work in a team
• A current driver’s licence
• Applicant will need to arrange own reliable transport and accommodation
• Previous winery experience, a forklift licence and confined space training are an advantage but not essential
• Applicants must have Australian citizenship/residence or a valid existing Australian work visa.
